I bought this for my 8 and 10 year old girls. They absolutely love it. They have been making bracelets nonstop. The whole family is now covered in them.

5 out of 5 stars Great Craft Kit Bound into a Book, Makes a Great Gift   December 19, 2008
Klutz has a line of books that are actually art and craft kits with all the materials and instructions to do it, and this is one of the great ones.

Friendship Bracelets comes with ten colors of embroidery floss and directions to make ten different styles of bracelets. It starts with the easiest and progresses to the more difficult, with one that combine beads with the knotted embroidery floss.

The directions are clear and are in text with drawn illustrations. The two pieces of floss to be knotted are shown in contrasting colors which makes it easy to understand the step being demonstrated.

Friendship bracelets have been worn by both boys and girls in the past but it seems now that mostly girls wear them. The colors that come with the kit are appealing to both girls and boys.

The publishers state this is for kids aged 6 and up. Only the most patient and nimble fingered six year old would be able to do this craft though. The appeal and difficulty level of these bracelets takes the age up to ten and beyond. I see teens wearing these bracelets, especially complicated ones with custom colors selected at the craft store.

I highly recommend this book. It would make a great gift item, especially for tween-aged girls aged 8-12 who like to do crafts or handcrafts.

I bought this for my daughter who was 9 at the time and she had so much fun making all different kids on friendship braclelets for her and her friends. There was everything you need and so many different patterns to choose from.

This is a really nice book. It features a good variety of designs with clear instructions and diagrams. I also thought that the included floss was really nice; the colors are shiny and bright.

I have always wanted to learn how to make these nice bracelets and now at the age of 27 I finally have! I'm also looking forward to teach the young girls I know and I'm sure they will enjoy making these wonderful friendship bracelets as much as I do!
