3 out of 5 stars Ok   December 2, 2008
Lots of practice tests, but otherwise the material was useless to me. I went with the Logical Reasoning Bible by power score.

5 out of 5 stars The real thing   December 1, 2008
LSAT questions are hard to manufacture so getting them from the real source is definitely a good idea. I supplemented this book with a book from Baron because this one doesn't have a lot of tips and strategies.

4 out of 5 stars The Ulimate test prep   November 27, 2008

When this was mailed to me it came to me in pretty good condition (even though I was really excited to receive my first lsat prep book). But after looking through the entire book, I found no pages missing and it ended up being worth my money. But I haven't investigate the entire book as of yet to ensure that its a high quality lsat book. But so far its been good to me

1 out of 5 stars You're Better Off With "The Next 10" by LSAC   November 22, 2008

As a professional LSAT tutor/blogger in NYC, I can say that the explanations in this book are useless. Additionally, the three exams in this book are far from recent. You're better off with The Next 10 Actual, Official LSAT PrepTest (Lsat Series) (Preptests 29-38) and puzzling over the questions yourself or getting a tutor. Good luck!

2 out of 5 stars dry and mediocre   November 6, 2008

I bought several prep books because I was studying on my own without taking a course, and I would not recommend this book as a comprehensive prep book. Explanations were dry, and the amount of text on the page made it difficult to slog through all the material. I did not find the book to offer any particularly helpful strategies on any of the sections. In fact, as the "official" prep book, all the verbage sounded very "official" and LSAT-like to be of much help. When I'm studying for a test, I'm not looking for something that sounds written by the testmakers, but something that will really break down each section and give me solid strategies and answer-solving skills. I would recommend Nova's prep book, as well as any of the PowerScore prep books over this. Even Kaplan, which I did not find that helpful either, would rate above this. The one helpful thing about this book was the use of actual questions from previous LSATs. Taking practice tests is definitely one of the best ways to prep.
