5 out of 5 stars The Daily Five   August 31, 2008
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

The Daily Five is going to change my literacy block in my second grade classroom. I'm excited about starting a new year with fresh ideas and a structure that will allow me more one-on-one and small group time for conferencing and instruction with my students.

5 out of 5 stars A Must Read for Elementary Teachers   August 30, 2008

Where has this book been all of my teaching career? This book is such an easy read and true to its words. I didn't really think that my students would respond to the ideas in this book. Not only did they respond, they soaked it up. Never before have I had all of my students quietly engaged in meaningful reading activities. I am sharing this with my faculty. Thank you sisters!!

5 out of 5 stars Why I'm going to use the Daily 5   August 18, 2008
This book is well written and provides a great guide to setting up a functioning literacy program in the classroom while empowering students to work independently. I can't wait to use it in my classroom.

5 out of 5 stars Excited to use these ideas!   August 12, 2008
There are many great ideas in this book which I can't wait to use this fall! I especially loved the sample lessons. It is a quick read; plus, I couldn't put the book down!

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Resource for all Reading Teachers!   August 1, 2008
This book is an excellent research for primary level reading teachers! It clearly outlines ways to support children's development and organize a literacy block.
